A. G. Roetschke, 89, of Clifton passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Clifton Memorial Park with Pastor Brian McQuiggin officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM, Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Clifton Funeral Home.
Born July 5, 1926, in Mosheim, TX, August was the son of Will and Minnie (Henkleman)Roetschke. In the early 1940's, he joined the U. S. Navy and served during WWII. On August 12, 1950, A. G. was united in marriage to Wilma Sager. The couple had one son, Steve Roetschke.
They lived in Waco for may years where A. G. worked at Cameron Mills Lumber Yard for more than 35 years. In 1987 following his retirement, they moved to Clifton where he farmed and raised cattle. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the VFW. Preceding him in death were his parents, Will and Minnie; wife, Wilma; brother, Ralph
Roetschke; and sisters, Dora Bailey and Marie "Sissy" Mollott.
Survivors include his son, Steve Roetschke, of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 911 West 3rd St.,
Clifton, TX 76634.
