Arthur (Fuggie) Pederson

Arthur (Fuggie) Pederson, 83, of Clifton passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, due to complications of pneumonia. A Funeral Service will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Norse. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Norse Cemetery.

Arthur was born on April 5, 1932 to Pete Leonard and Belinda (Mickleson) Pederson, on the family farm about 12 miles west of Clifton in the Norse Community. He was the 4th child and 2nd son of Pete and Belinda. Arthur attended school at Norse, then later at Clifton. He helped his dad farm as his brother Milton was serving our Country, his big sister Lillian had to care for the family during these days as their mother was sick and being treated in the hospital in San Angelo, the kids had a lot of good memories of the farm days.

Arthur was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Norse, where he has been a lifetime member.

In 1957 Arthur went to work at Wilson Building Materials, now Clifton Moulding, he was a finger joint operator there for 38 years. In June of 1963 Arthur met Alice Symank on the "drag" as it used to be called. On December 19, 1963, Arthur proposed to Alice and they were married on June 13, 1964 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton. To their union 2 children were born, Arlinda Lyn was born on March, 29, 1969 and Christopher Keith was born on June 6, 1975. In July of 2014 Arthur and Alice celebrated 50 years of marriage at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Norse where they all are members. After retirement in 1992 Arthur went to work at Burger King in Clifton, he continued to be the custodian there for 14 years. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Milton; sisters, Lilian Trigg and Estelle Pederson.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Alice; daughter, Arlinda Lyn; son, Christopher Keith; sister, Nelda Richards; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
