Bernice Faye Dreyer, 88, passed away and joined our Father in Heaven on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility in Clifton, Texas.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas.  Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bernice was born in Gatesville, Texas on September 23, 1932 to Tennie and Vernon Barton and was the oldest of four children.

Bernice was married to Ervin Dreyer on June 3, 1950 and had 68 years together. The had 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren who knew Bernice as Granny or Kitty.  Family was extremely important to Bernice and she cherished every one of them and loved the precious moments and memories she shared with them.  Bernice was a wonderful loving daughter, sister, wife, mom, Granny and Kitty and will be missed very much.  She loved gardening, collecting recipes (though she hated cooking), watching baseball and rodeos on TV, and especially watching her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in their activities and just being with family.

Bernice was primarily a mother and housewife early in her marriage before working at Wilson’s and the Goodall-Witcher Hospital.  She then watched kids at her home until Ervin retired from cabinet making.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vernon Dale Barton; grandson, Brad Hibbitts; and great grandchildren, the Smirl twins.

Bernice is survived by daughter, Sarah Turner and her husband Larry from Valley Mills, Texas; son, Wayne Dreyer and wife Dee from Waxahachie, Texas; son, Eugene Dreyer and wife Debbie Lynn from Midlothian, Texas; daughter, Debbie Meinkowsky and husband Craig from Clifton, Texas; daughter, Sandy Lindsey and husband Joe from Clifton, Texas; daughter, Karen Hibbitts and husband Brent from Midlothian, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother Charles Barton; and brother, Joe Paul Barton.
