Betty Miller

December 12, 1942 — June 18, 2018

Betty Jean Miller, 75, of Clifton, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at her residence. The family will hold a memorial service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Bosque County Cowboy Church with Pastor Tater Paschal officiating.

Betty was born December 12, 1942, in Meridian to Marvin and Edna (Herzog) Grimm. She grew up and lived in the Clifton/Meridian area and graduated from Meridian High School in 1961. After attending Concordia University both in Austin and Chicago, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in education. She began teaching elementary education in Key West, Florida, where she married Ronald Miller on April 27, 1968. While her husband served in the United States Navy, they were stationed in Sicily, Italy and San Diego, CA. After his military service, they moved to Clifton in 1974. Betty taught school in Meridian until her retirement in 2001. She was an avid gardener and reader. She enjoyed making her own organic products such as soaps, lotions, and cleaners. On February 2, 1943, she was baptized and later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she has remained a member.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her children, Ronda Quintana and husband, Edward of Waxahachie, Karen Allen of China Spring, Craig Miller and wife, Diane of Clifton; Sister, Geraldine Sutton of Magalia, CA.; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Quintana and wife, Victoria of Waco, Scott Quintana of China Spring, Ryan Quintana of Waxahachie, Garrett Allen of China Spring, Ashley Allen of China Spring, Lauren Allen of China Spring, Patrick Millen of Corsicana, Laura Millen of Lubbock, and 1 great-granddaughter, Sophia Quintana of Waco.
