Betty Leach O'Hara, 85, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Coryell Memorial Hospital. Services are pending at this time.

Betty was born May 6, 1933, to Sam and Essie Leach in Turnersville, TX. She was the second of fifteen children. She started and graduated from Turnersville in 1951. After high school, she married Robert Lee Ireland, Sr. of St. Elmo. Some of her hobbies included oil painting on canvas, spending days camping and fishing at her favorite lakes and enjoying God’s creations. She was an avid reader, especially anything about history. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Lori Gail and Ronda Kay; sons, John Allen and Baby Boy; brothers, Robert and Thomas Leach; sisters, Christabelle and Nancy Leach, Paula Moon, and Dana Patterson.

She is survived by her husband, David Leroy O’Hara of Tunersville; daughters, Rose Ann Ireland of Hamilton, Patti May Cooley of Waynesboro, MS., Carolyn Sue Ireland of Abilene, (G) Olivia Loreal Ireland of Angleton; sons, Robert Lee Ireland Jr. Of Pearland, Billy Paul Ireland of Athens, Steven Dale Ireland of Turnersville, (G) Skyler Jamar Ireland-Baldwin of Prattville, AL, Norman Daniel O’Hara of New Orleans, LA, David Lee O’Hara of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Rex Leach of Clifton, Ed Leach of Gatesville, Sam Leach of Clifton; sisters, Tanya Miller of Jonesboro, Sandra Noth of Sherman, Wynema Dahl of Clifton, Leah Lawrence of Turnersville, Martha Courtney of Jonesboro. Betty also left behind 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
