Born August 24, 1927 in Floyd County, TX, Betty was the daughter of Delbert Wilburn and Lois (Baker) Bybee.

Survivors include her children, Lois Marie Givens Degges and Husband Wade; Charles Orrin Givins Jr. and wife Pam; grandchildren Cody Degges and wife Tanya, Robbie Givens; and one great-grandchild, Braden Degges.
