Billy G. Hill

Billy G. Hill went to the Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Clifton Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Beavers and Rev. Brian Brice officiating. Burial will follow at Boggy Cemetery.

Billy was born on July 8, 1928, in Lorenzo, TX to Nealy and Effie Hill. They moved throughout the state and eventually settled in Decatur where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Navy in 1946. He met the love of his life, Beverly Elaine Ball, at a USO dance in San Diego, CA. They married on July 12, 1947, and moved to Ft. Worth, TX.

He worked at General Dynamics and also attended Wesleyan College and graduated in December of 1960. He became a chemist at Dow Chemical Co. and moved the family to Midland, MI. He made several moves but eventually ended up in Lake Jackson, TX where he retired in 1986. He then moved to Cranfills Gap where he enjoyed his retirement on his 40 acres with Beverly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wendol and Kenneth Hill; sisters, Jerry Sue Hill, and Marian Elaine Watson.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Parks (Kenneth), Clayton L. Hill (Lisa); grandchildren, Traci Hammis, Trisha Losee, Ryan Hill, Brittany Hill, and Reagan Hill; great-grandchildren, Paige, Kyle, Grace, Tyler, Jack, Addyson, and Chace; brothers, Reggie Hill and L.C. Hill.
