Caroline Miller

Caroline (Braune) Miller, 91, of Clifton passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Clifton Cemetery.

Caroline was born on July 10, 1926 to Carl and Alma (Bernhardt) Braune. She was the youngest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters. The first six years of her life were spent in Cotulla, near San Antonio, and later in Rogers. The family returned to Bosque County, settling in the Chase Community and then Womack. In 1944, she graduated from Clifton High School. In her youth, she helped her father with his threshing and black-smithing. She enjoyed playing card games and fishing with her mother in her spare time.

On November 27, 1947 she and Norbert Miller were united in marriage at the Womack Church. Their union would produce three children. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, her parents and her siblings.

Survivors include two daughters and three grandchildren.
