Carolyn Cheney

Carolyn Ann Cheney, 69, of Laguna Park passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Clifton Funeral Home.

Born April 7, 1947 in Meridian, Carolyn was the daughter of R.C. and Ruth Reierson. She grew up in Cranfills Gap where she completed school and was very active in 4H for many years. Ten years ago, she moved back to Bosque County after living in the DFW metroplex for a number of years.

In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed fishing and hunting. She and her late husband were ham radio operators and she often helped him in his investigative work. A very caring person, Carolyn was always volunteering in Laguna Park to help out her neighbors, or with the Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry, or whatever was needed. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and also volunteered with the Texas Guard.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Leon Cheney. Survivors include her son, David Black of Clifton; brother, Kenneth Rierson and wife, Iris, of Cranfills Gap and several nieces and nephews.
