Charles "Buddy" Kelley

Charles William Kelley, 73, of Clifton passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Grand Old Gospel Lighthouse Church with Donnie Ringo and Pastor Bobby Dickey officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Clifton Funeral Home. Burial at Clifton Memorial Park.

Born November 28, 1942 in San Saba, TX, Charles was the son of Charles and Mamie Kelley. On February 7, 1960, he married Elizabeth JoAnn Evans in Granbury, TX. They had four children, Charles Lee, William Clayton, James Aubrey and Frieda Sue.

Buddy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always taking care of his family first. He loved his family and God. He helped build the Grand Old Gospel Lighthouse Church and cut the cross that hangs on the wall. He was always teasing and encouraging us. He will be missed by many.

Special thanks to the Sunset Hospice nurses that took such good care of him and his family in their time of need. Donna, Krystal, Becky, Michelle, Lori, and a special thanks to Dr. O'Reilly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mamie; wife, Elizabeth JoAnn.

He is survived by sons, Charles Lee, William Clayton, James Aubrey; daughter, Frieda Sue; Brothers, Melvin Kelley, Karl Kelley and wife Karen; sisters, Caroline Boyd, Zelda Wilson and husband Aaron; grandchildren, Christi Kelley, Elizabeth Tyson and husband Ryan, Jerome Speckles, Charles Speckles and wife Michele, Joni Kelley, Lacey Brown and Tim Honea, Wes Brown and wife Catherine, Sasha Ball and husband Joe, Jessica Pyles and husband Gary, Skylar Kelley, Karina Kelley, Kasey Kelley, Jess McClary, Erika Chavarria; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Means, Haley Tyson, Hayden Tyson, Krista Reese, Ethan Saulter, Wyatt Honea, Kason Fuqua, Madison Speckles, Hudson Pyles, Easton Honea, Zoee Wilburn, Hadley Ball, Raygen Brown, Jayden Kelley, Jacob McClary, Damon McClary, Kaydence McClary, Tristin Chavarria, Adrian Chavarria, Alex Chavarria, Savannah Kelley. And Many nieces, nephews, Brothers and sisters-in-law that he loved dearly and they love him.

Pall Bearers will be George Warren, Karl Warren, James Anderson, Jerry Ringo, Michael Evans. Honorary Pall Bearers are Leslie Ringo, Michael Crawford, and Jimmy Ringo.
