Clarence Delbert "Sie" Rogers

Clarence Delbert "Sie" Rogers, 81, of Clifton passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Born March 12, 1935 in Canyon, where he was raised, Clarence was the son of Clarence Carl and Edith (Hicks) Rogers. On May 25, 1957, he married Glenda Lavell Sweet. They had two sons, Rick and Rusty Rogers. For 16 years, Clarence worked for the Texas State Highway Department in Amarillo as head mechanic. He later transferred to the Hillsboro office where he worked for 14 years, retiring in 1994. From 1980-2009, he and his family lived in Whitney and moved to Clifton in August of 2009.

Clarence was an artist and enjoyed painting. He also loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener, and liked to fish. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Robert Rogers; and great-grandson, Taylor Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Rogers of Clifton; sons, Rick Rogers and wife, Denise, of Whitney and Rusty Rogers and wife, Tina, of Valley Mills; brother, Donnie Rogers and wife, Sharon, of Whitney; grandchildren, Shonda K. Cannon and husband, Dustin, of Enoch, Ryan Rogers and wife, Natalie, of Graford, Amber Odell of Arlington, Chelsea Burney and husband, Bud, of Houston, Christopher Rogers of Pflugerville, Traci Rogers of Valley Mills, Holden Rogers of Valley Mills, and Jacob Rogers of Valley Mills; great-grandchildren, Chris Brown of Enoch, Landon Burney of Houston, Halen Ruiz of Enoch, Wyatt Burney of Houston, Linda Burney of Houston, Lillian Rogers of Graford, and Kasidde Cannon of Enoch; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
