Emma Darlene Evans Ratliff, 72, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the Sunset Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 11, at Grand Old Gospel Lighthouse with Pastor Sherry Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10, at Clifton Funeral Home.
Darlene was born in San Saba, Texas to Lee Wilson and Mary Dee Evans on April 11, 1944. In 1962, she married James Henry Kelley. To this union four children were born, Lesha, Tonda, Linda and Beary.
In 1970, Darlene married William "Bill" H. Pierce. To this union one son, Webb, was born. Bill brought to this union four children, Geneva, William, Steven, and Kenneth.
On April 28, 2002, she married Donnie Lee Ratliff. Donnie brought one daughter, Pamela, into the family.
Darlene loved spending time with her large family and many friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband & four legged companion, Whitney. She also enjoyed visiting many different churches and reminiscing about old times.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Bill and James; daughter, Geneva Terrell and husband Don; sons, Steve Pierce and wife, Patsy, and Brian Ratliff; brothers, Curtis and Sammie Evans; sister, JoAnn Kelley and husband, Charles; sister Annette Lane; and son-in-law, David Lane.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie; daughter, Lesha Sproles and husband, Chris; daughter, Tonda Lane and husband, Mark; daughter, Linda Lane; son, Beary Kelley; son, Webb Pierce; son, Willie Pierce and wife, Debbie; son, Kenny Pierce; daughter, Pam Nelson and husband, Scott; brother, Butch Evans and wife, Martha; sister, Dale Ringo and husband, Donnie; sister, Wanda Nowlin and husband, Elmo; sister, Sheila Hohertz and husband, Leroy; sister, Stormy Evans; sister, Vera Martin and husband, Drex; brother, Jackie Evans and wife, Sissy; brother, David Evans and wife, Shelly; brother, Bobby Evans and wife, Rhonda; sister-in-law, Marsha Evans; sister-in-law, Chereta Evans; brother-in-law, Danny Lane; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a few great-great grandchildren.
