As a General Contractor, David dedicated his talents to building and creating not just structures, but a legacy rooted in the bonds of family and friendship. His career was marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for his work, which he approached with the same heartwarming enthusiasm that characterized his personal life.

David had a remarkable ability to spread joy through his infectious laughter and warm smile. He embraced life’s simple pleasures—camping, fishing, and woodwork were just a few of the hobbies that brought him happiness and fulfilled his creative spirit. He cherished the time spent with those he loved, nurturing relationships that left an indelible mark on their hearts.

On April 12, 1974, David married the love of his life, Betty O'Hara. Together, they created a nurturing and loving home filled with laughter and support. Betty, who predeceased him, was not just his wife but his closest companion and confidante, and their love story remains a poignant chapter of his life.

He leaves behind his loving daughters—Rose Ann Ireland of Abilene, Patti May Cooley of Waynesboro, MS, and Carolyn Sue Ireland of Abilene, (G) Olivia Loreal Ireland of Angleton; sons, Robert Lee Ireland Jr. of Pearland, Steven Dale Ireland of Turnersville, (G) Skylar Jamar Ireland‑Baldwin of Plattville, AL, and Norman Daniel O'Hara and David Lee O'Hara, both of New Orleans, LA. David's legacy continues through his 24 grandchildren and 26 great‑grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his spirit.

A cherished sister, Kathy Pelfrey, and brother‑in‑law Greg Pelfrey, also survive him, reflecting the strength of family bonds he fostered throughout his life.

David was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Roberta O'Hara, along with his dearly departed wife Betty O'Hara, and children Rhonda Kay, John Allen, and Billy Paul. Their memory is forever entwined with his, and they reside in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

While David may have left this world, his memory will forever serve as a source of comfort and strength for all who loved him.
