Delton Wade Tischler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great‑grandfather, passed away on February 18, 2025, in Bowie, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on February 7, 1937, in Hamilton, Texas, Delton led a life characterized by love, dedication, and connection to family.
Delton graduated from Cooper High School in Lubbock, Texas, where he laid the foundation for a life that would be filled with hard work and commitment to those he loved. On December 31, 1955, he wed his beloved wife, Bette Sue Prisk, in Roswell, New Mexico. Their union was blessed with a deep bond and a wonderful family legacy.
Delton is survived by his son, Mike Tischler, and his wife Judy of Nocona, Texas; his daughter Sandra Watkins, and her husband Billy of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and his daughter Sonccia Watkins, and her husband Rusty of Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was also a proud grandfather to Tanner Watkins and his wife Cassidy, and Tristin Pelzer and her husband Weston. His legacy extends to his great‑grandchildren, including Kaylee Maddoux and her husband Wesley, Lane Tischler, Teigan Watkins, Tripp Watkins, Bentli Watkins, Emilia Pelzer, and great-great-grandchildren Layne, Rowen, Aspen, and Van Tischler.
Delton's love for his family was profound, and he cherished each moment spent with them. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends.
Delton is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bette Sue Prisk; his daughter, Tobby Tischler; his grandson, Colin Tischler; his parents, Charlie and Emma Tischler; and his brother, Melvin Tischler. The memories of Delton's warm spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Rock Church Cemetery.
