Don Barron

July 13, 1934 — April 4, 2018

Donald E. Barron, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Lutheran Sunset Nursing Home, a very caring and loving community in Clifton. Homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 7, 2018 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Michael (Tater) Paschal with Bosque County Cowboy Church officiating. Burial will follow the service at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 P.M. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Clifton Funeral Home.

Don was born July 13, 1934 in Graham, TX to W. A. and Bertha (Tate) Barron. He grew up in the Ft. Worth area and lived there until 1971 when he relocated to Kentucky. On June 12, 1971, he married Betty Lasley. Don served around 4 years in the U.S Army National Guard and worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. Some of his hobbies included tractor pulling, bass fishing and golf. He was a member of the Bosque County Cowboy Church and the Bosque County Tractor Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Garrett.

He leaves to cherish his memories his bride of 46 years, Betty Barron; his children, Linda (Dave), Bill (Barbara), Jimmy, Evelyn (Ron), Cindy (Allan), Bobby (Karren), Laurie, Terri (Vaughn), John (Samantha), Sheryl (Tim); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Neaves, Richard Estes, Danny Zint, Joshua Barron, Todd Lush, and Mark Coons.
