Donald Ray Forson, 68, of Clifton, Texas, passed away on April 3, 2024 in Waco. Donald was born on September 12, 1955, in Clifton, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Kyle; daughter-in-law, Fennelle; brother Barry Forson; sister Connie Mueller and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Forson; father, Woodrow Forson; and sister, Sandra Johnson.

Donald was an inspiration to many as he bravely battled cancer for 16 years. Despite the challenges, he remained a true warrior, achieving remission several times without complaint. His resilience and strength touched the lives of countless people throughout the years.

As a dedicated insurance agent and a successful businessman, Donald owned and operated Forson Insurance Services until his retirement in 2004. He was also actively involved in his community, serving as an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Clifton and holding different roles on the Clifton School Board. Donald's hobbies included golfing, camping, BBQ-ing, hunting, fishing, and coaching little league baseball. He also played a significant role in relocating the legendary Clifton Cub Victory Bell to its current location at Cub Stadium.

"Ray", as known by those closest to him, will be deeply missed.


A ceremony to honor and celebrate Donald's life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Bismarck Cemetery.
