Donald David Haynes, 82, of Clifton passed away on June 20, 2024. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 P.M. at Clifton Funeral Home.  Military Honors will be rendered at 6:30 P.M.

Donald was born on April 30, 1942, in Anniston, AL, to Alton and Alma Haynes, He grew up in a family deeply rooted in faith and community.

Donald proudly served in the U.S. Army, In his civilian life, Donald was known for his love of woodworking, fishing, and anything related to hot rods and racing cars. His hands were rarely still, always working on a project or tinkering with engines, crafting beautiful pieces of furniture, or casting lines at his favorite fishing spots.

A devout follower of non-denominational Christian beliefs, Donald was actively involved in his church community, where he shared his faith and compassion with those around him.

Donald was a man of integrity, known for his honesty, strength, and down-to-earth personality, all wrapped up with a great sense of humor. His life was a testament to his strong faith in God, which was at the heart of everything he did.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Donna Kay Haynes of Clifton; his daughter, Tammy Owens (Ronnie) of Kopperl; his son, Chris Haynes (Glenda) of Clifton; and his cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor, Hannah Haynes, Roper (Roddie) Haynes, and Cheyenne Spencer. Donald was also a proud great-grandfather to Chloe Hert, Rylie Hert, Asher Haynes, Knox Haynes, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Kashton Christopher David Haynes.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Alma Haynes, and his brothers, Jerre Lee Haynes and Doral Alton Haynes.

Donald's legacy of love, laughter, and faith leaves an indelible mark on his family and all who knew him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories told and the lives he touched.
