Doris Orton

Doris Hollowell Orton, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Escondido, California. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, May 21, at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel, Clifton, Texas. Burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 PM Friday at the Clifton Funeral Home.

Doris and her husband, Dean, were owners of Rocky Creek Lodge on Lake Whitney for 55 years.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Dean; her sister Helen Hollowell Wilkerson of Clifton, Texas; her brother Henry Hollowell, Jr. of Waco, Texas; her nephew Steve Wilkerson of Clifton, Texas; her mother Beulah Burklow Elam of Lake Whitney; and her father Henry Harrison Hollowell of Turnersville, Texas.

She is survived by her sister, Ellen Hollowell Koury, of Escondido, California; niece Linda Koury Dusterhoff and family of Walnut, California; sister-in-law Dorothy Kimmel and family of Waco; niece Bobbie Bostick and family of Gulfport, Mississippi; niece Yetta Adams and family of Bell Chase, Louisiana; nephew Gary Orton, wife Renee and family of Salt Lake City, Utah; nephew Lee Orton, Jr., wife Sue and family of Highland, Utah; niece Sharon Orton Garner and family of Watsonville, CA; niece Christie Orton Lee, husband Larry and family of Murray, Utah; and numerous grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins and friends.
