Dorothy Gaskamp Symank was born on December 13, 1929 to Adolph Gaskamp and Matilda Hastings Gaskamp near Mosheim, TX on the family farm. She passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of February 16, 2025.
She was baptized February 1930 at St. John Lutheran Church at Coryell City. Confirmed her faith April 1943 at St. John Lutheran Church.
She attended school at Turnersville. In 1971 she graduated from Goodall Witcher School of Nursing and worked several years at the Sunset Home.
She married Herman Symank on June 14, 1947. To this union 2 sons were born, Gary Don and Brooks Keith.
Preceded in death by her husband Herman Symank, her parents Adolph and Matilda Gaskamp, her brother Walter Gaskamp, grandson Alan Symank, and daughter-in-law Connie Jayne Symank.
She is survived by Gary Symank and wife Linda, Brooks Symank and partner Kim Bevels, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, and 12 great grandchildren, and on sister.
Grandchildren: Wesley Symank, Dana and Aaron Bubela, Clint and Sarah Symank, Mindy and Jason Rucker, and Joshua and Megan Symank.
Great grandchildren: Hudson Symank, Jackson Bubela, Tucker Bubela, Brooks P Symank, Bennet Symank, Julianne Symank, Faith Rucker, Gracie Rucker, Noah Symank, Sarah Symank, Hannah Symank, and Rebekah Symank.
One sister: Esther Scheer
Pall Bearers: Wesley Symank, Aaron Bubela, Clint Symank, Jason Rucker, Joshua Symank, and Jackson Bubela.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 30 Minutes prior to the service at the church.
