Dorris Alyne Fry

Dorris Alyne Fry, 82 of Clifton passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19,2015, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, Father Isaac Orozco as Celebrant. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Clifton Funeral Home.

Dorris was born on December 5, 1932 in Marlin, TX to Samuel and Alta Pointer. In 1950 she married Ray Fry. They resided in Montpelier, OH from 1950-1968, where she worked as a telephone operator. She left to become a homemaker and mother to their three children. They moved to Hamilton, TX in 1968, and then to Clifton, TX in 1971. Dorris was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Clifton, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. In the 70's and 80's she enjoyed being a member of the Garden Club and the Birthday Club in Clifton. Dorris loved butterflies, she had over 200 on the wall of her room. She was also a # 1 Dallas Cowboys Fan, winning or losing, and enjoyed watching WWE wrestling with several family members. She was the best wife and mother anyone could ever wish for.
Dorris is preceded in death by her son Mike Fry and her granddaughter Robbi Fry.
Survivors include her husband Ray Fry. Daughters Amy Fry Green, Lorraine (Susan) Fry Gutierrez and Husband Richard of Clifton. Grandchildren; Christy Matthews of DeLeon, Damon Fry and wife Rebecca of Aransas Pass, Amanda Ochoa and husband Roy, of Clifton, Jessica McWhirter and husband Shaun of Clifton, Melinda Green of Clifton, Jennifer Fry of Hamilton, Faith Gutierrez of Gatesville, and Jamie Fry and wife Ashley of Hamilton. 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
