Dwain Michael Wilson (aka Woo Woo, aka Super Snail), 72, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away on November 3, 2023. Born on August 6, 1951, in Sweetwater, Texas, Dwain was the beloved husband of Anna Wilson. He was the loving father of Mike Wilson and his wife Sheila of Buffalo and Sabrina Slaughter and her husband Robert of Valley Mills, Dwain was also a cherished brother to Dan Wilson and his wife Paula of Hewitt, Dennis Wilson and his wife Linda of Vernon, and Diane Rhodes of Wichita Falls. He adored his grandchildren Bryce Harmon and his fiancé Liz of Hewitt, Aidan Flores of Valley Mills, Cheyenne Bancroft and husband Nick of Giddings, Adriana Albera of Waynesville, Missouri, Braylynn, Brayden, and Kason Short of Midway, he was also blessed with two great-grandchildren. Dwain had a special bond with his long-time dear friend, Billie Marcum. He leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Webster Wilson III and Dorothy Pauline Rueter Wilson.
Dwain had a passion for celebrating the 4th of July, particularly enjoying the black cats and ariels. He had a heart of gold and loved to laugh, often spending time with his grandchildren. Dwain had a love for cars, hunting, fixing things, and working on the farm. Dwain attended Valley Mills School. After his education, he pursued a career as a truck driver, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Funeral services for Dwain will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Clifton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1:00 P.M.) at the funeral home.
Dwain Wilson will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
