Erwin Ray Dahl, Sr.

Erwin Ray Dahl, Sr., 74, of Clifton passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 after a brief illness. He was at peace and surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Clay McCord officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Turnersville Cemetery.

Erwin was born March 23, 1943 in Clifton, Texas to the late Elfriede and Henriell Dahl, Sr. He attended schools in Clifton graduating in 1962 with special interests in agriculture receiving many awards at the local and state levels for his livestock production. Erwin had a passion for gardening. He then partnered with his brother, Henriell Dahl, Jr. in a TV business. He continued his farming and ranching, and in 1976 he became a rural route mail carrier, a job he enjoyed until his death. Erwin was a faithful and dedicated active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served on church councils at various times and was presently a long-term member of the Property Board.

Erwin is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Wynema Leach Dahl. They were blessed with three precious children, Erwin Ray Dahl, Jr. and wife, Amy, Thomas Paul Dahl and wife, Mindy, and Holly Rebecca Robison, and husband, Tim. He is also survived by his brother, Henriell Dahl, Jr., and his wife, Kimm of Clifton and their daughter, Deanna Brown and her husband, Ted. He leaves 13 honored grandchildren, Carter and Michelle Clemmons, Amber and Ryan McWilliams, Hannah Clemmons, Melanie Clemmons, Zak Lloyd, Dustin and Dalton Andrews, Kaleb, Kaitlynn, Kaylee, and Kayden Robison. As well as 3 great grandchildren Asher and Eloise McWilliams, and Corbin Clemmons. Erwin has 18 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pall Bearers will be: Jody Bledsoe, Carter Clemmons, Zak Lloyd, Dustin Andrews, Dalton Andrews and Kayden Robison.
