Estelle Hill

June 3, 1927 — February 11, 2015

Estelle Hill, 87, of Clifton passed away Wednesday morning, February 11, 2015 at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home in Clifton. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 13 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Clifton with Rev. Reed Justus officiating. Interment will follow at Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Clifton Funeral Home Chapel.

Anna Estelle Langston was born on June 3, 1927 in Ft. Worth, TX to parents, Robert Curtis Langston and Annie Finstad Langston. She moved to Clifton with her family at the age of 3 and lived there most of her 87 years. She graduated from Clifton High School and married Jack Hill of Clifton, TX in 1943. Estelle was an active member of First United Methodist Church for many years. She was a well known and loved real estate broker in Clifton for over 30 years, owning her own business and later partnering with Anna Marie Lindley before she retired in 2002. She served on the Clifton ISD school board for several years. Estelle loved sports, being a very big Texas Rangers fan, she loved to travel, gamble and to work in her beautiful flower gardens for as long as she could. She loved watching her many hummingbirds that she attracted every year and she enjoyed helping people whenever she could.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, brother Curtis Langston, husband and youngest son, Bryan Hill.

Estelle is survived by three of her four children, Jerry and his wife Marsha Hill of Clifton, Marsha Ecklund of Austin and Lesa Hill and her husband Chris Sodolak of College Station. Estelle has 8 grandchildren, Alana Ecklund Lilie, Jaclyn Ecklund Cordes, Annie Ecklund McNeil, Rob Ecklund, Courtney Hill Adams, Katy Hill Maupin, Bryan Cole Hill Thompson and Chase Sodolak. She was also blessed with 8 beautiful great grandchildren.

The family asks that you consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association or First United Methodist Church of Clifton in her memory.
