Frank Jacob Fernandez of Clifton passed away February 13, 2022, peacefully with his family by his side at Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest in Waco. He is now at peace with our Heavenly Father.

Frank was born November 6, 1941, in Houston, TX to Jacob and Pauline Fernandez. He graduated from El Campo High School. He married the love of his life, Julia Rose (Montez) Fernandez in 1961. They started their family in Houston. He began his profession as an instrumentation technician at Armco Steel. He moved his family to Clifton in 1983 where he was employed at Chemical Lime as an electrical supervisor. He and Julia were members of First Baptist Church of Clifton. Frank loved hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Fernandez; his father, Jacob Fernandez; brother, James Fernandez; son-in-law, Carlton Jones; sister, Pauline (Polly) Medrano; and sister, Catherine Renee Stemm.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julia; daughter, Joann Jones of Houston; daughter, Laura Downing and husband, Derek of Crawford; daughter, Debbie Ochoa and husband, Mario of Clifton; and son, Jacob Fernandez of Ft. Worth; grandchildren: Tiffany Jones; Trey Jones and wife, Katie; Robert Garza; Jennifer Scopel; Janna Ochoa; Mallory Ochoa; Emily Fernandez; Avery Fernandez; John Fernandez; and Luke Fernandez; great-grandchildren: Emery Scopel, Corley Scopel, Jackson Scopel, Cannon Scopel, and Charlotte Jones.

The family has requested a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
