Frank Anderson Jones, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on November 13, 2024 at the age of 85 in Clifton. Born on March 9, 1939, in San Saba, Texas, Frank lived a life rich with experiences and connections that have left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Frank grew up in San Saba and Prairie Valley before graduating from Joshua High School. His journey after high school led him to join the Navy, where he proudly served his country for four years. After his military service, he embarked on a career with the Corps of Engineers, dedicating many years to his work until an accident in 1980 left him disabled. Despite this life-altering event, Frank approached life with a spirit of resilience and happiness, always stating that he wouldn’t change a bit of it.
Frank's personal life was marked by love and companionship. He met Lovatta, his beloved wife, on Labor Day in 1967, and a whirlwind romance followed. They were married on January 8, 1968, in Cleburne, Texas, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Lovatta Jones, and their children: Billy Jones, Viola McManmie, Frankie Jones Cunningham, and Reanda Wetlesen, his brother, Jerry Edward Jones, and wife, Rebecca. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great joy and pride in his life.
An individual known for his warmth and friendly nature, Frank was loved by many. He was often described as someone who could make friends with anyone and remained happy with his life, which he shared generously with others. His interests spanned various activities that brought him joy, including barbecuing, hosting friends for games of dominos and horseshoes, gardening, fishing, and caring for his beloved farm animals. Frank's passion for helping others and his commitment to friendship made him a pillar among his family and community.
The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Park Nursing and Rehab and the staff at Hospice Sunset.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
