Frank Sardaneta Munoz, 73, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Hillcrest Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. Burial will follow at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, November 11, 2019 at Clifton Funeral Home.
Frank was born on July 14, 1946 in Mount Calm. He grew up and attended school in Mosheim and graduated eighth grade. Frank then attended and graduated high school from Valley Mills in 1966. After high school, young men were being drafted for the armed forces to go to Vietnam, and Frank went down and joined the army. He spent 13 months in Vietnam. When he returned home, he went to TSTI and received a degree in automotive mechanics. Frank was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. He enjoyed listening to music from the 50's and 60's, however he especially enjoyed country and gospel. He also liked to watch old western tv shows and movies.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Munoz; mother, Lupe Munoz, and sister, Mary Munoz.
He is survived by his father, Cecil R. Munoz; sisters, Lidia Garibay of South Bosque, Dolores Aguilar and husband, Miguel of Waco; brothers, Cecil Munoz and wife, Jeanie of Oglesby, Adolph and wife, Karen of Georgetown; Frank also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He will be missed deeply by all, and to leave you a quote from Frank, "I'm going home."
