Hazel Levon (Oswald) Spitzer

Hazel Spitzer, 90, of Clifton passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility where she had been a resident for 6 years. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Clifton Funeral Home.

Hazel was born on January 31, 1927 in Bosque County to H. L. and Hattie (Schulze) Oswald. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church on March 6, 1927. On November 16, 1948, she married D.T. (Tommy) Spitzer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton. This past November, they celebrated 69 years together. To this union two children were born. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved playing dominos, cards and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Thomas Spitzer.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy; children, Janet Corpier and husband David of Clifton, and John and wife, Jean of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Derek Corpier, Brandi Corpier, and Nicholas Spitzer.
