Irene (Schneider) Lord

Irene Schneider Lord, age 99, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility in Clifton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Clifton Memorial Park.

Irene was born August 6, 1920 in Aleman, the only girl of seven children of Albert and Ogla Schneider. She was a former resident of Hemphill and worked at the Sabine Theater for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall Montgomery; husband, Dalon “Nut” Lord; son, Calvin Montgomery; brothers, her twin, Ire, Woodrow, Bernherdt, Elemer, and  A.B.,

She is survived by one brother, Vernon Schneider of Dallas. Sons, Marshall Montgomery of Flatonia, Howard Montgomery of Havelock NC, John D. Lord of Hemphill. Daughters, Betty Montgomery Harper of Hemphill, and Catherine Montgomery Swiger of Vidor.
