James Edwin Bean

James Edwin Bean, 78, of Clifton passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Clifton with Dr. Jerry Smith officiating.

James was born on December 5, 1939 in Clifton to Roy and Ruby Bean. He grew up and attended school in Clifton. he went to work early with his father laying concrete, forming curbs and doing other construction work.

He briefly moved to California and worked in construction there. He married Patsy Wright and they were married for three years. After that relationship didn't work out, they divorced and he returned to Clifton.

He spent most of life being self-employed, cutting posts and firewood. For a number of years, he worked for Bosque Supply, and also worked for Ingram Ready Mix Company.

He loved to work on things whether it was a car, wood-splitter, trailer or lawn mower. He loved to fish and enjoyed old western movies.

he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Bean.

Survivors include his three sisters, Wanda Jean Thomas and husband Jim of Waco, Patsy Perkins of Grand Prairie, and Ruthie Light and husband, Wayne of Clifton; brother, Rudy Bean and wife Rachel of Clifton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
