Janet L. (Crocker) Wallace

April 5, 1941 — March 14, 2021

Janet “Jan” (Crocker) Wallace was born April 5, 1941 in Robinson, Illinois and passed peacefully on March 14, 2021 surrounded by family after a brief battle with lung cancer.  Jan spent her life bringing laughter to others as a bartender, landscape technician, store clerk, mother, and grandmother.  She was fond of jokes and laughter.

Jan was preceded in death by her loving parents Morris and Lavonna Crocker and her husband Robert (Wally) Wallace.  She is survived by her four children: Karl (Toni) Blanton, Kevin Blanton, Keith (Lula) Blanton, and Kimberly (Tony) Contreras.  Eight Grandchildren: Tiffany, Trina, Janet, Angel, Cole, Cambria, Teage, and Bryn.  Eight great-grandchildren: Josh, Jocelyn, Andre, Jade, Keiko, Cataleya, Joseph, and Elliana, as well as many other family and friends.

Services are scheduled on April 16, 2021 at 9 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio.  Due to facility restrictions, there will be a private graveside service for family followed by a public memorial gathering at a location to be determined.  For information regarding the gathering or to offer condolences please contact JanetWallaceOBIT@gmail.com
