Janice Elaine (Clark) Belvin, 72, of Clifton passed away Monday, March 11, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Live Oak Cemetery, in Hamilton County. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church Parrish Hall, Norse.
Janice was born August 8, 1946 in Dallas, TX. She lived in Hamilton until her marriage to E. J. Belvin from Purmela. She worked as the Bank Manager in Clifton most of her adult life. She was a hard worker and survived the sale of the bank three times. She told us that she always looked up at the sign outside the bank when she arrived to see who she worked for. When she retired in 2011, Bank of America closed the bank in Clifton. I guess she was truly “indispensable.” After her heart surgery, she was told to cut back to half-days so she cut back to 12 hour days.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Monty and Jason Belvin; parents, Norman and Genevieve Clark.
She is survived by her husband, E.J.; brother, Norm; son, Troy and wife, Janet; granddaughter, Brittany and husband, Justin; grandson, Ty and wife, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Camden, Kaelyn, Karter, Ethan, and Tytan. She loved spending time with her great-grandkids just as she did her grandkids.
Her home church was Our Savior’s Lutheran. She volunteered weekly at the Pot of Gold and at the Central Texas Fair in Clifton. She was very special and loved by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Texas Youth Fair or Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
