Jerry was born on July 4th, 1938 in Dallas to Willis Reeves Noles and May Ruth Springer Noles. He grew up in the Sardis community near Roby, Texas, and graduated from nearby Rotan High School in 1956. A few years later, Jerry decided on a career in law enforcement and became a Police officer for the Brownfield PD. With his love of the great outdoors, Jerry then pursued his dream of becoming a State Game Warden.  During these early years, three daughters Debra, Brenda, and Beverly were welcomed into his world.

Jerry loved the country life and assured his daughters would grow up there where they were taught the importance of a good firm handshake and giving someone your word. He enjoyed participating in his daughters’ 4-H livestock projects and toting them all over the state to events. His family enjoyed yearly vacations including trips to the coast and to the beautiful snowy mountaintops of Colorado. He was continually active in his community with the Gatesville riding club, Coryell County 4-H club, and was a 32nd degree Mason. While a Game Warden, he forged many great friendships with landowners all over Coryell County. Jerry retired after serving 23 years with the state.

On February 21, 1985, He married Patsy (Pat) Beasley and gained another daughter: Tammy. Soon after, they bought a cabin in Laguna Park where the family would gather yearly for his birthday on July 4th. The ringing of the dinner bell called many happy faces to their table and Jerry always made sure he gave thanks for the opportunity to gather. He enjoyed taking the grandchildren on boat rides across the lake and taking them fishing to catch their first fish. Of course, he always enjoyed sharing a good story of his Game Warden days and the grandchildren loved hearing them. He found peace along the shores and whenever he was outdoors, he was at his best. His adventurous spirit soon had he and Pat driving trucks to travel all over the country. They enjoyed their life together and the family that surrounded them.

Jerry’s country life was always near to his heart and he and Pat became active with Top Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills. He always loved a good hymn sung with the accompaniment of a guitar. He and Pat enjoyed their Tuesday morning Barn fellowship group. God was center of their life together and they enjoyed sharing their faith even through the difficult days. Jerry always stated, “the good Lord is right there beside me helping me every step of the way.”

Jerry is survived by daughter, Debra Noles of Waco, TX, Brenda Haedge and son-in-law, Stanley of Hico, TX, Beverly Arellano and son-in-law, Rowdy of Georgetown, TX and stepdaughter, Tammy Nipper of Belton, Texas. As well as 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Pat Noles; both his parents; brother, Billy Noles, and son-in-law, Thomas Nipper.
