Jim Bart Allen "Rooster"

Jim Bart Allen, affectionately known as "Rooster," was born on April 11, 1965, in Hico, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who passed on November 27, 2024 after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. 

He attended school in Clifton and graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1983. He continued his education by obtaining his CDL certification. 

Jim dedicated over 30 years of his life to the trucking industry, specifically hauling fuel. He was well respected and loved by everyone in this field, known for his kindness and ability to connect with others. His career was a significant part of who he was, reflecting his hardworking nature.

Family was at the heart of Jim's life. He was married to his beautiful wife, Debra, for 26 wonderful years. They shared not just their lives but also their love for the open road, he and Debra met while each were driving trucks and spent the first part of their marriage trucking. They enjoyed traveling, with Las Vegas being one of their favorite destinations. It was there that Jim earned the nickname "Slots."

Jim was proud of his family, His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, especially when spending time with his grandchildren. He cherished every moment shared with his family.

Outside of work and family, Jim had a great passion for agriculture and farm life. He loved his goats and took pleasure in working around his home and watching the birds. He was admired for his unwavering spirit; he fought his illness with remarkable strength until the very end, never giving up.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, JB Allen and Dorothy Cash Allen.

Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debra Allen; daughters, Stephanie Neelley (Derrick) and Alicia LeMay (Cameron); sisters, Mary Plemons (Mark) and Tressa Rollison; brothers, Robbie Allen (Missy), and Ronald Allen (Marschell); grandchildren, Taeleigh and Donnie LeMay, and multiple nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. 

Jim's memorial service will be held on December 21, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Clifton, at 2:00 PM. (In the large fellowship hall).
