John Murphy Buchanan

John M. Buchanan, 84, of Clifton passed away on April 5, 2015 in Clifton. Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.

John was born on Nov. 24, 1930, in Fort Worth to Charles and Mildred Pauline (Mathis) Buchanan. On July 15, 1950, he married Patricia Glenn. John was also called to active duty with the Marine Corps in 1950 and served in the Korean War at the Chosin Reservoir.

The couple lived in Keller for many years, where he was co-founder and president of Southwest Foam Molding until his retirement. In 1998, they moved to Clifton where he was a member of Clifton Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, India Lenora Hetzler; and two brothers, Charles Lenn "Sonny" and James Lawrence "Larry" Buchanan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia of Clifton; two children, Kathleen Wells and husband, Gordon, of Clifton and Bryan Kelly Buchanan and wife, Debbie, of Denton; a sister, Polly Buchanan Moren and husband, Frank, of Hallsville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
