Johnnie Lee Conrad

Johnnie Lee Conrad, 100, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in the Hope Center of the Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Clifton Funeral Home from 6-7:30 pm and a private graveside service for family members was held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Mary Gean Cope of the First United Methodist Church of Clifton officiated the service.

Johnnie was born on March 4, 1915 in Bosque County to Joseph C and Loraine Ryan. She graduated from Clifton High School and married Eldor Conrad on October 14, 1934. They were married for over 67 years until Eldor passed away in 2002. They had two children, Bobby Joe and Linda Ann. She was a devoted mother, friend and neighbor. Johnnie loved to cook, sew, quilt, crochet and work in her garden, when she wasn't working to support the family. She retired from the Clifton ISD Tax Office.

She is survived by son, Bobby Joe Conrad and wife Betty of Clifton and daughter, Linda Ann Newberry and husband Bill of Midlothian; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
