Joyce Bergman

Joyce Gayle Bergman passed away on August 30, 2024, in Clifton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Clifton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She was born October 22, 1934, in Hamilton, Texas, to Monroe Stanford and Ida (Trigg) Stanford. Joyce grew up in Stanford Valley in Hamilton County. She attended 12 years of school at Cranfills Gap, graduating in 1953. In 1973, she was united in marriage to Vern Bergman, they made their home in Clifton, Texas. Joyce received her beautician license from Waco School of Beauty and the day she received her license, she went to work at Clifton Mercantile as a bookkeeper and cashier, she kept that job for the next 26 years.

Joyce was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being with her friends and family. She also enjoyed yard work.

She is survived by her cousin, Delores (Sissy), and Eddie Sincerney of Hewitt, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Ida Stanford, and her husband Vern Bergman.
