Kim Allen

Tonja Kim Allen of Clifton passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Clifton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Clifton with Pastor Brian Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Norse Cemetery.

Tonja Kim Allen was born on August 21, 1964, in McKinney, Texas to Patsy Sinor and Vernon Amundson. She shared her birthday with her paternal grandfather, William Amundson, and was his first grandchild.

She was baptized on October 18, 1964 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Richardson, Texas.

Kim graduated from Meridian High School in 1982. She spent 18 years working in Clifton as a hairdresser at the Main Place and later the Hott Spot. She loved doing hair and loved her clients. Her co-workers were very special friends and were like family to her.

She loved her family, her children, and especially loved being “Mimi” to her grandkids. She enjoyed long talks, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching movies, Wheel of Fortune, The Young & the Restless, The Voice, watching sports, and reading.

Kim enjoyed sitting on the porch watching storms. She cherished nature, plants, and animals, and her favorite color was purple. She was compassionate for all things living and was a provider for those who were in need. She was loyal, kind, and always humble.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Vergie Amundson, Cotton Sinor and Lucille Ingram.

She is survived by her parents, Patsy Sinor, Vernon Amundson, and wife, Key; aunt, Wilma Meissner; aunt, Sue Viertel and husband Bob; aunt, Helen Wolfe; uncle, Johnnie Sinor; sister, Cindy Perrin and husband, Scott; brother, Brett Amundson and wife, Kim; sister, Camille Hooper and husband, Kevin; daughter, Brandi Washington and husband, Jacob Ivy; granddaughters, Brianna & Lily Ivy; daughter, Tiffany English and husband, Dustin; granddaughters, Addison, Emma & Everly English, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
