Laura Deloris Snider Leach was born on October 7, 1949 in Evant, TX to the late Jess and Gertrude Snider. She passed away July 29,2021.
On October 1, 1967 Laura met the handsome Sammy Leach at a football game and became instantly smitten. She graduated from Jonesboro High School as the 'class favorite' in 1968, then married her high school sweetheart on June 22, 1968 at the Jonesboro Baptist Church. They celebrated their 53rd year of honeymooning this year. She spent the years being a devoted wife and mother; never missing a baseball game, birthday, anniversary, or an opportunity to share milestones with others. She was always thinking of her family.
Laura was a true 'salt of the earth' woman. Her big heart, kind spirit, and passion for hobbies (such as gardening, arts & crafts, and photography) inspired everyone whose lives she touched. She thrived on making the world a more beautiful place.
Lovingly cherished by her daughters Brenda Jean Hoover of Baytown, TX, Connie Leigh Towers (Austin Sherlock Towers) of Houston, TX. Son, William Curtis Leach (Calin Renae Leach) of Whitney, TX, Grandchildren; Britton Timothy Hoover of US Navy stationed in Port Hueneme, CA, Faith Whitney Leach of Conroe, TX, and William Curtis Leach Jr. of Conroe, TX, Great Grandchild; Dakota Wiliam Hoover of Baytown, TX.
Laura is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Allen Snider, Lorene Bragowitz, Herbert Snider, Curtis Snider, Earl Snider, Otha Snider, and survived by her sister Julia Mae Wicker, and brother J.H. Snider.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery, from 9:00-10:00 A.M.
