Laverne Ballard

Laverne Sadler Ballard, 80, of Clifton passed away Friday, August 3, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 10, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Clifton. Burial will follow at Oswald Cemetery.

Laverne attended Dunbar School in Clifton and Peabody High School in Hillsboro. She was employed with Goodall Witcher Hospital for 17 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. After she retired her favorite hobby was to scratch her lottery tickets at the local convenient stores.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Annie Mae Sadler; son, Anthony Jerome Gee; three sisters, Mary Davenport, Virginia Sadler, Annie Lee Sadler; two brothers, Joe Nathan Sadler and John Wayne Sadler Sr.

She leaves behind a daughter, Annie Denise Turner and son-in-law, Ronald Turner; daughter-in-law, Geneva Gee; granddaughters, Misha Watley, Jennifer Bluer and Leslie Rummel; Grandsons, Chris Sedberry and Paul Bluer; Great-grandsons, Aiden Bluer, Joshua Rummel, Kaidon Sedberry, Carson Donahue and great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Bluer; Sisters, Wanda Sedberry, Ollie Ruth Carter, Joyce Crawford, Margaret Tweedle and brothers, Raydell Watley and Noel Sadler.
