Leo Roland Beaudry

December 8, 1932 — September 13, 2015

Leo Roland Beaudry, age 82, of Laguna Park, passed away September 13 2015 in Clifton, TX after a long illness.

A private graveside service was held at Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery, with Clifton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Leo was born December 8, 1932, in Fall River MA, the youngest of four children of Louis and Albina (Emond) Beaudry. He attended Catholic schools in Fall River before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He and Barbara Marion Fournier were married on June 25th 1955 at Sacred Heart Church in New Bedford, MA. The couple commemorated their 60th wedding anniversary this year at Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton where the staff graciously hosted a celebration in Leo's hospital room. He worked for many years in the vending machine sales and service industry in New Bedford MA and in Dallas TX until his retirement in 1994. The couple moved to Dallas in 1981, planning to stay for 2 years. After their first Texas winter, however, they abandoned plans to return to the cold New England winters. In 1995, the couple purchased property in Laguna Park where they retired in 1998. An avid sports fan, Leo's favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Celtics, and the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed auctions and antiquing.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, sister Clara Thorpe of California, sister-in-law Yvonne Beaudry of Massachusetts, sister-in-law Mary Beaudry of Florida, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Paul; parents, Louis and Albina Beaudry; brothers, Henry Beaudry, Amedee Beaudry; brother-in-law Louis Thorpe; sister- and brother-in-law Connie and George Fournier; sister- and brother-in-law Julia and Stephen Rymszewicz; and brother-in-law Eugene Fournier.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kevin Blanton, the nurses and staff of Goodall-Witcher Hospital and Nursing Facility, and Lutheran Sunset Ministries Hospice Sunset for their exceptional and compassionate care in his last year. Leo was a blessed man whose life surpassed all of his youthful dreams.
