Leola Jinkens, 98, of Clifton passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Lutheran Sunset Ministries. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Thursday, January 2, 2019 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Norse with Pastor Bill Metting officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church (8:00-9:00 A.M.) Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at Merkel Cemetery, in Merkel.
Leola was born Dec 31, 1920 in Merkel, Texas to Mae and Ennis Reidenbach. Leola graduated from Merkel school and went on to Parson's School of Cosmetology in Abilene. She married T.C. Jinkens August 29, 1942. After T.C. returned home from World War II they moved to Ft. Worth where he joined his brother in the ranching business. In 1969 they moved to Roby where they continued ranching. In 1989 they moved to Bosque County where she had four generations of her family living. Her favorite things to do were making a home, working in the yard, making quilts, fishing, and baseball. She loved baseball from T-ball to the big leagues, with her favorite team being the Texas Rangers. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Mae and Ennis Reidenbach, husband T.C., and brother George Reidenbach.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Burk and husband, Lathum of Clifton, and Leta Eubanks and husband Will of Van Alstyne; Three granddaughters, Tab Ferguson and husband, Scott, Lisa Powell and Lori Ledbetter; one grandson Leslie Burk and wife, Mary; Six great-grandchildren, Cole, Lanham, Madison, Bailey, Bryson and Luke; Extended great-grandchildren Robert, Diana, David and Branson; nephew Dr. Vincent Reidenbach and wife Cynthia of Edmond, Ok.
