Leon Angermann

Leon Angermann, 69, of Clifton passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Clifton Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18th at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, February 17th at Clifton Funeral Home.

Vernon Leon Angermann was born February 2, 1948 in Hamilton, TX to Bruno Martin and Allie Mae “Sis” (Landua) Angermann. He grew up in Hamilton and attended school there. He was active in band and LOVED to race his car. He graduated high school in 1966.

Leon joined the United States Air Force which included service in Vietnam from 1968-1969. After discharge from the Air Force he joined the Army Reserve, and served as Tank Commander in Clifton.

He worked at Gearench in Clifton, and started out as a Reserve Deputy for Bosque County, and later he earned the highest rank as Chief Deputy. After serving Bosque County, Leon was hired as Deputy Jailor for McLennan County where he retired in 2012.

Leon married Vicki Lynn Cosper on February 28, 1987 in Clifton. They had two children. During the early years of their marriage they lived in Laguna Park, near Whitney and in 2002 they built a house on the Cosper Ranch.

Leon enjoyed the outdoors including: hunting, fishing, working on his car and the ranch.

He was a loving son, husband, father and friend. Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki; daughter, Robin; son, Samuel and wife Zujey, along with many friends and relatives.
