Margaret (Blanton) Garcia

April 15, 1959 — December 27, 2022

Clifton

Margaret D. (Blanton) Garcia left this earth to be with her heavenly Father on December 27, 2022. Services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Clifton, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. David Judah (son) and Marvin Blanton (brother) will direct the service. Margaret was 63 years old.

Margaret D. (Blanton) Garcia was born on April 15, 1959, in Brownwood, Texas. She was the beautiful little daughter of Marvin Roscoe and Dorothy Jo (Nelson) Blanton. Margaret spent her early years growing up in Brownwood, Texas in Brown County. She had three brothers and one sister to share her childhood dreams with. Margaret attended her beginning school years K-9 in Brownwood. She finished off her high school years in Blanket, Texas, and graduated in 1977.

Margaret met and married the love of her life in Brownwood, Texas. Domingo Garcia and Margaret married and started their life’s journey on April 21, 1998. Domingo cherished Margaret. He took on the role of father to her three children, Tessa, Tonya, and David. Together they were lovingly married for 22 years up until he passed away in 2020.

Margaret lived in other places in her later years. She worked at Brownwood Regional and then transferred to Rio Grand Valley Hospital in McAllen, Texas. Margaret and Domingo were recruited to Litte Elm Texas to help build Frisco Medical Center which is now Baylor Medical Center Frisco.  In 2014 Margaret had her first Breast Cancer Diagnosis.  After her treatments Domingo moved them to Bosque County in 2015 in hopes for a slower lifestyle.  After some time of rest and healing she started working as a BA for Edward Jones in Clifton, Texas before her 2nd battle with breast cancer began in April of 2021.

Some of Margaret’s favorite hobbies were keeping up with everyone in the family, especially the grandkids, siblings, cousins and all her nieces and nephews. She knew what everyone was doing at all times.  Margaret loved watching her grandsons play football and cheering for the Clifton Cubs. She also spent her time supporting the Colleyville Band and cheering on the Michigan grandkids in their Rodeo excursions. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clifton.  She was known as Nana to most everyone who came in contact with her.  She loved to have fun, she fed all the littles cheetos, chocolate and coke, always gave the best hugs and she had a laugh that was larger than life. Our Nana will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Garcia, father and mother, Marvin Roscoe and Dorothy Jo Blanton, and her brother, Dewey Leon Blanton.

Left to cherish her sweet memories are her Children; Tessa Pfeil of Grapevine, Texas, Tonya and husband Sean Albrecht of Clifton, Texas and David and wife Julia Judah of Manton Michigan.
