Margarita Ybarra

Surrounded by her family, Margarita Hernandez Ybarra, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Clifton, Texas on Thursday, November 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Clifton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born on December 5, 1928, in San Benito, Texas, to parents Benito and Concepcion Hernandez, she was the eldest of seven with siblings; Luisa, Jessie, Cruz, Jose, Consuelo, Juan.

Margarita accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Her faith in our Lord was her guiding compass throughout her entire life. She favored reading scripture and sharing words of encouragement with others.

She was an inspiration to us all. Through the experiences of her life, she taught us that only through giving back to others with love, compassion, honesty, integrity, and our faith
in God, will we truly find the blessings in life.

She enjoyed attending church, gardening, sewing, cooking, and family gatherings. She was active well into her eighties often enjoying walks outdoors and traveling to visit new places with family and friends.

She taught us all that family was most important. She lived her life working hard to inspire us all as a beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother. She was blessed with thirteen children and over 110 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren.
