Mark Dewitt Lowrance was born on October 27, 1944 in Hays, Kansas to Dewitt and Rhoda Lowrance. He served in the Air Force from July 9, 1963 to April 5, 1967. He was in Vietnam from January 10, 1966 through March 10, 1967. When he returned home from the service he went to barber school and worked in the Devine, Tx area till 1979. It was then that he moved to Clifton, Texas and setup his barber shop. Mark was an old fashioned barber. He wasn’t too concerned with how fast he could cut your hair but he did show a keen interest in talking with you, getting to know you and being your friend. Many of Mark’s customers have been regulars for over 40 years.
He loved animals and at one time had six dogs. When he passed away, his little dog named “Monster” was his companion.
Mark was preceded in death by His Father and Mother, his sister Mary Ann McConnell and his brother David Timothy Lowrance.
