Mary Babcock

Mary Babcock passed away on November 27, 2024 at Lutheran Sunset Home. Born on November 12, 1963, in Waller, Texas, she was the daughter of Juan and Janey Gutierrez. Mary spent her formative years in Wallis, Texas, where she made many cherished memories during her education.

Mary was known for her kind and gentle spirit; everyone who met her loved her. She possessed a huge heart and had a soft-spoken manner that drew people to her. Her warmth and compassion were evident in all her interactions, making a positive impact on those around her.

In her leisure time, Mary found simple joys in life, enjoying activities like scratching lotto tickets and trying her luck with slot machines. She also shared a special bond with her cat, Mo, who brought her much joy and companionship.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Alex Babcock; her father, Juan Gutierrez; and her son, Alan M. Pennington. She is also remembered fondly by her brothers, John Gutierrez and Noel Gutierrez.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Janey Zavales; and grandchildren, Alan Patrick Pennington and Gracelyn Anne Pennington, whose spirit she carried throughout her life. The impact of Mary's presence will be felt long after her passing, as she leaves behind a legacy of love and affection in the hearts of all who knew her.
