Mary Lou Crawford

Mary Lou (Remington) Crawford, 95, passed away on January 13, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1928. Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 P.M. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Clifton Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Clifton Memorial Park.

Mary Lou was married to the love of her life, Ted Franklin (T.F.) Crawford on June 1, 1947. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before T.F.’s passing in 2012.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Emma Belle (Frazier) and Carl F. Remington as well as her sister Vera Turner and brother Carl Remington Jr.

Surviving family includes two daughters Kathie Lynn (Chuck) Mapes of Dallas and Ginger Ann (Steve) Harrison of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Grandchildren are Heather Glenn Duke (Devon), Ryan Glenn, Ted Crowder (Lindsey), Justin

Mapes (Monica) and Kyle Mapes (Laura) as well as ten great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was a life-long resident of Clifton. She graduated from Clifton High School and attended Clifton College. Mary Lou and T.F. were faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Clifton for over 60 years and were involved in many charitable and community organizations. After T.F. retired as Regional Division Manager of Texas-New Mexico Power in 1992, Mary Lou and T.F. enjoyed traveling all over the world.

Mary Lou worked for Clifton Bank and Goodall Witcher Hospital and Clinic. She loved to go to Las Vegas and the horse races. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends and the annual dove hunts. She will always be remembered for her grace, style and beauty. She had a wonderful laugh and smile that would light up a room.
