Merrill Kingery

Merrill Eugene Kingery passed away peacefully at Goodall-Witcher Hospital on December 7, 2022. Visitation will be held at Clifton Funeral home on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. with graveside services to follow at Clifton Memorial Park starting at 1:15 P.M. Keith Blanton will be officiating.

Merrill was born during the Depression era on August 11, 1937, to parents Gerald and Bessie Kingery. They made their home in Lawrence County Ohio. Merrill attended school grades 1-12 and graduated from Waterloo High School. After graduation, he started his career in the grocery business where he worked for some time before going out on his own to be self-employed. On April 7, 1963, he married Patricia Ann Kingery. Merrill was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite fishing “hole” was Lake Whitney, Texas. Merrill left this life too soon after a short battle with cancer. He will be missed by many family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Patricia Kingery, stepson, Bill Combs and wife Elaine; sister, Helen Saunders. He leaves behind grandsons, Travis Combs and wife, Julia, Carson Combs and wife, Jordan and 4 great-grandchildren.
