Patty Langston

Patty Langston, 75, of Wimberley, Texas passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 1st 2016 in her home following a four year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by her children Burt, Laura and Lou. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10th at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Adair officiating. Interment will follow at Clifton Cemetery.

Patty McBride was born February 15, 1941, in Dallas, Texas to parents Walter L. and Mary McBride. Patty grew up in Oak Cliff in Dallas and attended Sunset High School where she met the love of her life Larry Langston. They were married September 12th, 1959. Larry and Patty moved to Clifton with their son, Burt, in 1961. Their two daughters, Laura and Lou, were born in Clifton. The family moved to Gatesville in 1976 and Patty and Larry moved to Wimberley in the fall of 2001.

Patty loved communicating with friends and family on Facebook. She loved playing Words With Friends. She loved watching movies, especially horror movies, and reading. She owned a collection of every book written by Stephen King. Her favorite TV shows were True Blood, The Blacklist, Breaking Bad, The Golden Girls and HGTV. She loved to watch Aggie football games and cheer on the Spurs. However, her favorite sports figures were her grandkids. she attended as many games, meets and tournaments as she could.

Patty was known for her love of antiques and created her own estate sale business called Curious Goods. She received her associate's degree in 1983 from Central Texas College in drafting and design which was another passion. However, her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren - Nick, Travis, Annie and Garrett. They loved her sense of adventure, her positive outlook, her strength and her uniqueness. They considered her one of their best friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Langston, and her parents Walter and Mary McBride.

She is lovingly remembered by her children - son, Burt Langston of Wimberley; her daughter, Laura and husband David of Dallas; her daughter Lou and husband Mike of San Antonio; grandsons Nick, Travis and Garrett; granddaughter Annie and sister Allison Morgan of Desoto as well as numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends too numerous to name.
