Pearl Emma Mickelson

Pearl Emma Mickelson, 106, of Clifton passed away to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Clay McCord officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00-1:55 P.M. at the Church. Burial will follow at Norse Cemetery.

Pearl was born July 20, 1911, in Waco to Neil and Annie Amundson. She was one of five children, in order of birth: Julia, Aline, Arthur, Pearl and Harry Lee. She graduated from Union Hill High School and Draughons Business College in Dallas. She also attended Clifton Junior College. On July 10, 1937, Pearl Amundson married Carl Mickelson at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Cranfills Gap. In 1939, Pearl and husband, Carl moved to Houston where they lived for 39 years. In 1942, their son, Larry was born and their second son, Donnie was born in 1944.

She will be dearly missed and remembered in the hearts of her family, relatives and friends. Pearl was an amazing lady who touched the lives of many.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Mickelson and wife, Kathleen, Donnie Mickelson and wife, Becky; grandsons, Brian Mickelson and wife Gigot, Carl Mickelson and wife, Shannon, Mark Mickelson, Gregg Mickelson and wife, Elizabeth; great-grandsons, Brock Mickelson, Cole Mickelson; great-granddaughters, Peyton Mickelson, Julia Mickelson, Madeline Mickelson, McKenna Mickelson and Stella Mickelson.
